Frequently Asked Questions
Wooly Beanies
What are your beanies made from?
Our beanies are made on a Sentro circular knitting machine using soft acrylic yarn, then hand-finished by Charlie in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Every hat is checked before it leaves us.
What does ‘reversible’ mean?
Each beanie is knitted in two colour combinations and folds inside-out to reveal a second look — so you get two hats in one. Great for mixing up your style without buying twice.
What sizes do you offer?
Our beanies fit most adult heads comfortably. If you have a specific sizing need, just get in touch before ordering and we’ll do our best to help.
How do I care for my beanie?
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent, reshape while damp, and lay flat to dry. Avoid tumble drying or wringing — this keeps the knit looking its best for longer.
How long does delivery take?
Most beanies are dispatched within 2–3 working days. UK delivery typically takes 2–5 working days after dispatch via Royal Mail.
Can I request a custom colour combination?
Yes — drop us a message via our contact page and we’ll let you know what yarn we have available.
Lithophane Night Lights
What is a lithophane?
A lithophane is a 3D-printed panel with varying thickness. When backlit, thicker areas appear darker and thinner areas glow brighter, creating a detailed portrait from your photo. It’s a beautiful, tactile way to display a memory.
How do I order a custom night light?
Add the night light to your cart, then upload your photo via the photo upload field on the product page. We handle the rest.
What makes a good photo for a lithophane?
High contrast photos work best — clear faces, good lighting, simple backgrounds. Avoid very dark or heavily filtered images. Portrait mode on a smartphone usually works well. If you’re unsure, send it to us first and we’ll give you honest feedback.
Can I see a preview before it’s printed?
We don’t offer digital previews as standard, but if you’d like one just ask — we’re happy to share a render for complex orders.
Is the night light safe to leave on overnight?
Yes. The lights use low-wattage LED bulbs and are designed to run continuously. They make a lovely bedside light.
What if I’m not happy with the result?
We want you to love it. Contact us within 14 days and we’ll work to fix it — whether that’s a reprint or a refund.
Cane Chair Restoration
What types of chairs do you restore?
We specialise in traditional cane seating — chair seats, backs, and panels. If you’re not sure whether your chair qualifies, send us a photo and we’ll let you know.
How do I get a quote?
Use our Cane Restoration page to submit a request. Tell us about your chair, include a photo if you can, and we’ll come back with a price.
How much does restoration cost?
Prices start from £30, depending on the size and condition of the piece. We’ll always be upfront about pricing before any work begins.
How long does the work take?
Most chairs are turned around within 2–3 weeks of receiving them. We’ll keep you updated throughout.
Do I need to bring the chair to you?
We’re based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. You’re welcome to drop off in person, or arrange a courier — we can advise on packaging if needed.
Orders, Delivery & Returns
Do you ship outside the UK?
